Pop superstar JUSTIN BIEBER is helping to keep the memory of his number one fan, cancer victim AVALANNA ROUTH, alive by offering himself up as a prize for a fundraising initiative organized by the child's parents.
The six year old, who dubbed herself Mrs. Justin Bieber, died from a rare form of brain cancer last September (12), seven months after the Baby hitmaker made her dreams come true by flying her and her family to New York to spend time with him on Valentine's Day (14Feb12).
Routh's parents have now set up a new charity competition online through their Cure ATRT organization to raise money for research into atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumours (AT/RT) and to find a cure for the disease.
Participants have until 1 July (13) to raise as much money as possible for Cure ATRT and the winner will be granted a meet and greet with Bieber at one of his upcoming North American tour dates.
In a post on the CureATRT.org website earlier this week (begs01Apr13), the Rouths wrote, "Avalanna touched people's hearts around the world. One of those people is Justin Bieber. Justin continues to be the wonderful husband to our Avalanna - as he always has been.
"We are excited to announce that Justin would love to meet the person who raises the most funds for Cure ATRT... So, today we launch this competition, in honor of our Avalanna - Get your fund raising started... you have until July 1st. Start raising donations for Cure ATRT Now today!"
